Telehealth Services for Blue Advantage Patients
Telehealth provides a convenient option to patients for remote consultations instead of an in-person office visit using telephone and/or video technologies.
For Blue Advantage, Patrius Health aligns with the CMS Public Health Emergency Telehealth code set related to the COVID-19 pandemic. These codes apply to in-network Blue Advantage providers who are credentialed and eligible to submit claims.

Audio and Video Technology
We strongly encourage providers to perform telehealth services using both audio AND visual components. If video is not available, the medical record’s encounter documentation should note that services were rendered via audio telecommunications only due to the patient not having access to video capabilities.
Place-of-Service Codes
Be sure to use the appropriate place-of-service (POS) code in telehealth documentation:
- POS Code 10: telehealth services provided to patients in their home.
- POS Code 02: telehealth services provided to patients outside their home.
